Nhow Hotel, London

This summer London will see the opening of a new punk/urban styled hotel from the NH Hotel Group. The ‘London Reloaded’ themed, nhow Hotel will house 190 vibrant rooms across eight storeys, and it will also feature a gym, bar, restaurant, networking spaces and meeting rooms.

The interior design by architect James Soane will be a fusion of British icons and contemporary elements, set to give the ‘wow’ factor. Every section of this hotel has been designed to surprise and impress, with vibrant colours and an urban street art explosion across all interiors. The eclectic hotel lobby will be dominated by a large ‘Big Ben’ rocket sculpture, suited to it’s location in a district marked by an industrial past and modern technology companies.

A wooden installation surrounding an LED fireplace will add comfort amongst the brightly coloured furniture and ‘pixelated’ carpets.

Local traditional pub culture inspired the design of the hotel restaurant named The Bell. Cockney rhyming slang decorates the tables, complimented by green leather seats. The lighting reminiscent of London church bells. The restaurant will be towered by a central pillar with a pixelated LED grid generating varied moving imagery, contrasting against the soft bell lighting.

“ The nhow London will have a unique interior concept, perfectly tailored to its location. Visitors will find themselves immersed in a world of art and design that tells a story and engages the senses; a dynamic melting pot created to surprise and inspire the guests. ”

Project Orange won a competition to design the new nhow hotel for the NH group in 2016. The four-star property will be located between the City, Islington and Shoreditch.

“As a vibrant, international metropolis, London is the perfect location for a nhow hotel. Cosmopolitan cities are inherently dynamic, ceaselessly producing new cultural, social and artistic trends. Our nhow hotels are an expression and measure of this dynamic. The nhow London will reflect both the industrial past and technological future of its location and will become a creative hub for the neighbourhood.”
